Low-emission zones: what changes for city deliveries

Tarragona and Reus must restrict the most polluting vehicles. How it affects deliveries and how we plan for it.

Low-emission zones: what changes for city deliveries

Spain’s Climate Change Act (Law 7/2021) requires towns with more than 50,000 inhabitants to set up low-emission zones (ZBE). In the Camp de Tarragona this includes Tarragona and Reus, which are phasing in access restrictions based on the DGT environmental label.

For local delivery it means three things:

  • Labelled vehicles: vehicles with a 0, ECO or C label face fewer limits in the centre.
  • Loading and unloading hours: each town sets its own time slots and areas, and it pays to know them.
  • Well-planned routes: grouping deliveries by neighbourhood cuts kilometres, time and emissions.

At La Milla Verde we plan every route to spend as little time in the centre as possible and drive fewer kilometres. If you ship to restricted areas, tell us which ones and we will help you organise it.
